Most of the SlithyToves.ORG regulars know that Argentina is a place that is near and dear to the hearts of the admins here. Recently Argentina has gone through a financial and social crisis that is really testing the citizens of Argentina. - - - -
They finally got a president to stay in office (after going through 4 in a matter of 10 days). However, the devaluation of the Argentine curency is hitting citizens and businesses alike. Accounts are frozen. It's a mess. You can read here about how Fleet/Boston will be pulling out of Argentina after 150 years of operation. This is not a small move and it will surely hurt the country even more. Argentina has been through a lot in the last 150 years, but I guess this latest debacle was the last straw for Fleet.
