After consulting several people in the Schwind household as well as the ever observant daycare providers, we've come to the conclusion that Sophia is saying her first word! Go Sophia! - - - -
Of course, Sophia's first utterance is neither "Mama" nor "Dada" but "Dah! Dah!"
She says this whenever she sees
Sergei or when she's shown the dog puppet at daycare.
The most interesting aspect of this first word, and the reason it's taken us so long to figure out she was saying something, is that we almost always refer to Sergei as "puppy". Just goes to show how much they learn at daycare!
