Sophia, Anna and I took a Christmas trip to Michigan to be with my folks. It was really really great time. It was the first time in a LONG time that we had Christmas with my parents and my sister Kelly and my brother Patrick.
The weather was fantastic. It snowed Christmas eve and Christmas day. I got to go ice skating with my nephew Jake (and also got to catch one of his games at a hockey tourny). Kid's got skillz folks.
Sophia, as in the past, proved to be a great travel companion. She was well behaved on the flights and on the long drives from the airport to my parent's house.
Sophia totally dug walking on the snow and being outside. She scored huge on the presents front. Patrick got her a Veggie Tales CD where they sing songs with her name in it. 'Sophia this' and 'Sophia that'. Kelly got her a pretend bbq grill and it suprised me how much she knew about working it. She must have been watching me more than I had realized. Add to this some flashlights (big hit), and stuffed animals (another big hit) and she was nearly overwhelmed.
I got to shovel a driveway a couple of times. Forgot what that was like.
Anna and I went geocaching, not sure if I should make this another entry. I probably will.
