You may remember a while back that I wrote about my experience at a previously beloved Sushi restaurant. Well, since I had various comments about that story, I thought it merited a followup. - - - -
I decided that I would not forego going back to the restaurant in question (hereafter referred to as restaurant number 1), but rather, that I would take a hiatus. After all, maybe the waitress would be fired/move on/quit/etc. if I just waited a few months. So, Chaosopher has been eating at that place without me (during lunch) and I have been going to the other good sushi place (restaurant number 2) when we're together. In some ways, this other place is better, because they absolutely adore Sophia and ask us about her whenever we don't bring her and when we do bring her take turns taking her away from the table to parade her about and play with her.
At any rate, Chaosopher and his co-workers stopped in to sushi restaurant number 1 for lunch one day and got the waitress of the afore-mentioned incident. Chaosopher said she was not much improved in her service, but she added a new wrinkle to her repertoire of dealing with customers. All the people at the table were male, and while she was serving them she made what Chaosopher says was intentional and frequent bodily contact with him. In essence, she leaned up against him while she was serving the other people at the table. Besides being plain weird, this move on her part was obvious enough that all the guys noticed it, and it prompted Chaosopher to tell me about it right away, lest his often jocular colleagues try to get him in trouble over it by telling me about it before he did.
Now we come to last friday, when Chaosopher and I went out on a date while the nonos watched Sophia. We decided on sushi and went to the unpleasant waitress free zone (restaurant number 2) only to find - yes, you guessed it - that she had switched restaurants. Fortunately for us she was apparently serving exclusively from the kitchen and we were eating mostly from the sushi bar, but can you blame me if I feel a little stalked by this waitress with her odd behavior and poor service?
